Not Much has been happening around here lately. It feels like all I do right now is feed babies and change dirty diapers. I don't mean to sound like I am complaining because I'm not that is literally all I ever do anymore. Well I guess there is a little room for all of the hugs and kisses and cuddles that I get from my kiddos. Life is Good!

YIKES! I just realized that this picture is one of the only pictures that I have of Myla since Christmas! Sorry Myla! Mommy is going to take at least 5 pictures of you tomorrow.

Baby Boys Update

I went to the high risk doctor this morning for another ultrasound for the boys. Found out that they are both head down now! Which also would explain some of the horrible pain that I had this past week, but it is worth it if I don't have to have a C-section :) Baby A weighs 2lbs. 14oz. and Baby B weighs 3 lbs. which means that I already have 6 lbs of baby in me and I am only 28 weeks!!! That is more than Myla weighed at birth she was 5lbs. 15oz. I am starting to freak out a about how big my stomach is getting! I have been having a horrible stabbing pain under my ribs for a few weeks and they told me that it is most likely one of my muscles has stretched to far and is starting to SPLIT and that it will only get worse(I am not OK with this at all)

Other than that there isn't much else to update you on the boys I will have to do another post for the girls later.

Oh, they could also tell on the ultra sound that they already have a full heads of hair :)

The Great Surprise of 2010

If you haven't heard our big news yet, it is that our one baby has now turned into two babies!!!!!

Yes, we are having TWINS and much to Chris's delight they are both BOYS!

My whole pregnancy I have been super sick and I couldn't hold food or water down for most of it. With both of my girls I got pretty sick so we just thought that I was getting worse with each child. When we went in for our 11 week checkup the doctor listened for the heart beat and I guess when she heard one heart beat she just stopped looking. Anyways last week I got sick with the flu and had to go in for another IV because I was getting super dehydrated. The doctor on call decided to to check the heartbeat to make sure the baby was doing OK since I had been so sick. She found it but just keep moving the monitor around my stomach with out saying anything. I didn't think anything of it until she asked if twins run in our family! I immediately said yes and WHY? (my oldest sister has fraternal twins) She then said she thought that she heard two heartbeats and that they were going to do an ultrasound.
As soon as they started the ultrasound I saw both of there heads and I knew it was twins. We are sooooo excited and can't believe that we just doubled our children :)

The best part for me is they said I was a week farther along than they thought and with twins 37 weeks is full term. Which means I get to knock a whole month off of my pregnancy and I am now due at the end of March!

Boys Already !?!

I didn't think we had to worry about boys until our girls were teenagers. I think Myla has other plans though. Today she went on her first car ride with a BOY!!! It was with our cute neighbor boy who she calls her 'boyfriend'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost and Found

Oh how we love this little girl, but oh how she loves to lose and scratch her glasses!

Here are a few places we have found her glasses:

In the grass outside (3 times so far)
In the garbage can (twice)
Behind the couch
In the toy box (lost count)
Under beds
In closets
In their case (We thought we had lost them for sure this time because we never thought she would actually put them where they were meant to be put!)

Here are a few things we have caught her doing to her glasses:

desperately trying to make the cat wear them
running over them with her bike on the asphalt
rubbing the lenses on the cement
coloring on them with crayons

If she wasn't so darn cute she would definitely be in a lot of trouble!

Before I had children I swore that I would never ever ever buy those ugly Velcro shoes with cartoon characters on them.

I guess things change when you watch your little girls faces light up over them :)
(Oh, did I mention they also light up!!! My children are officially in the ugly shoe club!!!)

Ava's New Look

Ava finally got her glasses today!!! We are not sure if she likes them yet. I have found them all over the house, car, and even caught her trying them on her cat.

I know that I may be biased because I am her Mommy, but I think she looks adorable in them!
(she wouldn't look at the camera unless we asked her to show us the toy lizard)

I am so happy that she can finally see! It broke my heart to find out that she could not see very well.
Here is the story of what happened if you don't already know it

Her left eye started to turn inward so we took her to a pediatric eye doctor. He told us that in her left eye(the one that was turning in) she could not see close or far away and her right eye also had some issues. They are going to try the glasses first and if that doesn't correct it then they will try a patch or surgery. I am just so relieved to know that she is seeing better. I hated watching her struggle and rub her little eye trying to make it see right.

Summer Fun

July is my most favorite month ever!!! The fourth of July is my favorite holiday and my b-day just so happens to be in this fabulous month. (sorry for the picture overload)

We went up to the Highland Splash Pad for the first time today and the girls loved it!

We were invited up to our friends private lake in Salem Canyon. I just brought my little camera so my pictures aren't that great.

We got to take the girls out on a canoe and a pedal boat (Sorry I didn't get any pictures of it)

This isn't a good photo, but I wanted to remember how much Ava loved these swings. If she wasn't already on them then she was bawling for someone to push her on it.

It was so pretty up there

Ava had sand and rocks in places that I didn't think were possible!

I hate that July is already half over. What the heck it just started getting warm and now it is almost over! I am not OK with that!

'Super Capes'

Myla had to get her stitches out today. She was really scared about it and when I told my Mom she came up with the idea to make her a 'Super Cape' so she could be brave!

Of course she had to make Ava one too and she even put their initials on the back. 'M' is for Magic Myla and 'A' is for Amazing Ava.

The cape worked great and helped her to not be scared of the doctor.

Apparently you can still get tired of running around even with a 'Super Cape' on.

Ava has been loving the kittens a little (a lot) too much lately. We often find her carrying one by the neck or pulling one out from under the couch by it's tail.
The other day was my Bunco night so Chris decided to grill on the BBQ for his dinner. He went out to put the steaks on and Ava wanted to watch him so she got up on the couch to look out the window for him. It only took Chris a couple of minutes, but when he came in he saw Ava on the couch leaned up against the window. He told her to get down and that is when he noticed the kitty. It was in the crook of her elbow being held around it's neck and she had been leaning on it so she could see outside. Chris yelled at her to put it down and when she did it just fell on the couch and didn't move!!! Ava had Totally Knocked it Out!!!! By the time Chris got over to it Wally had started to move and then jumped up and ran away.
I don't know how to make her stop squishing these kittens. She is not allowed to hold them and she can only pet them if we are watching her. The second me or Chris are not paying attention she runs for the kitties and starts loving (squishing) them.

I think I might go crazy telling her to STOP SQUISHING THE KITTENS all day long!

(she doesn't mean to hurt them she just is loving them a little to much!)

Stitches

We had our first set of stitches at the Taylor household yesterday. Poor Myla was riding her princess scooter down the driveway and somehow fell off, did a front flip and landed on her face. I think the screw from her front wheel hit her at some point and that is what cut her so bad :( She got twelve stitches total. There are three inside because it was soooo deep and nine on the outside. The stitches weren't the painful part for her it was the shots to numb her that where horrible!
The nurse numbed her first and then the doctor came in to do the stitches and did two whole stitches with Myla screaming before he said I think the shots have wore off.( I mean really could you not have noticed that the second that you stuck the needle in the first time and she started screaming!) So the doctor had to do a whole bunch of more shots before she went numb.

This was from this morning when it started to swell. I didn't get any pictures of it tonight but the swelling has got a lot worse.

We could not be more proud of our little Ava Jean she decided to potty train herself yesterday!!! We thought it may be a one time deal, but she has done the deed two more times today :)

Round Em Up!

We took the girls to their first rodeo at the Lehi Round up. I love that they are finally getting old enough to make taking them places a little easier!

Jamie, Levi and Baby Trigg came up to go with us on Thursday. We sat right by the gates and the whistle was so loud poor Baby Trigg we thought he was going to go deaf!

The highlights of the rodeo for us were the motorcycles the girls are still talking about them. Myla also experienced her first public urination behind the restrooms because the line was just too long ; ) We are definitely doing this again next year!

If you have read my last two posts you know that we lost our two kittens :( Yesterday I remembered that a friend of mine from my Bunco group had 6 kittens. So today we went to her house and came home with Winston and Wally!!!

To all of my Harvest Hills neighbors we have lost both of our new kittens :( If you see a gray and a orange kitten please let me know because I have two very sad girls at my house right now. We think they made have gone for a ride under Chris's truck or they may have gotten sick of being squished, poked, and dragged around everywhere.

Do you remember Elmyra from Looney Tunes and her cat Furball (I loved that show)

Well we have two Elmyra's and two Furball's at our house.

When you look at these pictures imagine my children are saying: I will love and I will squeeze you and I will make you my very own!

We told my Grandpa Jim that we could have one of there kittens. Well Grandpa drove three hours and brought two kittens so how do you tell him sorry only one please.
Ava's favorite way to hold them is squeezing them by the neck!

Myla's favorite thing to do is hug them as hard as she can!

These kittens are definitely not being neglected, mauled maybe but definitely not neglected!

Myla has made it to the ripe old age of FOUR!!!!! She is very proud of this and tells every one from the grocery store clerk to the random person walking down the road :)

We took the girls bowling for her birthday since it was so cold outside. They loved it and both of them wanted NO help from Mom and Dad.

in between turns Ava had fun entertaining herself by blowing her hair around with the hand blower.

We tried to let Myla roll the ball instead of using the ramp and she walked up put the ball down and kicked it as hard as she could.

I didn't get very many pictures of her party. we were too busy eating cake and opening presents. Thanks to everyone who came she got spoiled rotten!

Bippy Booby Dance

Myla had her first dance dress rehearsal last week. She will be performing 'Cinderella.' Her age group is dancing the Bippity Boppity Boo dance. It is so funny to try to hear Myla say the name of her dance. The first time she tried to tell me the name of it she said it was the Bippy Booby dance. You better believe I made her dance it for me as soon as we got home just to make sure it wasn't what I thought it was!

She got to wear real makeup for her rehearsal and every day since she has begged me to put some on her again.
Myla is turning 4 on May 4Th and it doesn't seem real to me that she is that old yet!

This post might make more sense to mothers with little girls who have watched the Swan Princess way more times then they want to admit.

This morning when I was dressing Myla for school I put her in a dress that she had not been able to wear yet because it was so cold outside. She was so excited to show her dress to her teacher at school. This is how are conversation followed after putting the dress on...

Me: Myla you look so beautiful in your dress.
Myla: but what else...
Me: What do you mean?
Myla: but what else... he he he
Me: What do you mean?
Myla: Is beauty all that matters to you? he he he

Wow she is only three years old!
She sure thought that she was something funny!
I am impressed that she put the movie quote and her beautiful dress together, but wow she is going to be a handful.

Storage

We are very quickly out growing this house, or maybe we have way to much junk! Either way we have no where to put things anymore.
We have been considering making one of these shelves in our garage for a while but just never got around to it.
I guess Chris finally got sick of his messy garage because one day he surprised me when he came home with the lumber and supplies. He made the shelves in just a few hours and then yesterday his brother Patrick came over to help him put them up.

I didn't take any before pictures so just picture a big mess!

Ava had her second birthday a couple of days ago. She got spoiled rotten and she loved every minute of it!

We started the day off early with opening presents. (Don't you love the bed head) Ava wanted a new bike. We were just going to pass down Myla's old tricycle to her, but Mommy may have accidentally ran over it last fall! (Don't worry the bike was not occupied at the time)

Myla had a very hard day and did not quite understand why she didn't get a new bike too.
After presents we went to the park next to our house to play and fly the girls new kite.

My Mom made the girls the most adorable wonder capes. They love them so much and won't take them off!!! Wonder capes do have one down side though the girls constantly ask for you to fly them around the house. They may not look very heavy, but after a few laps around the house your arms really start to feel the burn.

Happy Birthday Ava!!!!! We love you so very much! We are so happy we get to have you and your spunky little personality in our family :)

Ava Got A Pony

Ava is sure a funny little kid. She can keep you on your toes all day, she never stops going. It can be exhausting but she is so worth it!

Catching Up

It has been really cold here so we have spent most of out time indoors. The girls and I have had to get creative on finding things to do to keep us busy.

If you know Myla you know that she acts like a puppy for most of the day. She figured out that the kitchen chairs make great puppy pens.

We have been building forts in the basement.

Little miss Ava Jean thinks she has to a have a pair or sometimes two of Myla's panties on over her pants at all times.

The girls spent some of their Christmas Money on this cute little table and they have a a blast having little tea parties. (yes, they are using crayons for food)

Myla had a special day with Grandma Debbie and some of her cousins at the Hutching Museum were Grandma works.

She made these awesome dinosaur feet!

Last but not least we went down to Wayne county to visit Chris's parents this last weekend.

If you saw my post from earlier today you already know that Myla has a love for Chap stick. We put the girls to bed tonight and I was down stairs watching TV and thought that I heard something upstairs. I walked up stairs to find Myla on the couch looking like this......

The little weasel had hid her chap stick in the pocket of her sweatshirt that she wore to bed. It was all I could do to not bust out laughing when I saw her, but I kept a straight face washed her face and sent her back to bed.

Myla has definitely lost her chap stick privileges for a while!

You know when your house gets really quiet all of a sudden and you just know that your kids are up to something. I found my girls in the corner of Ava's room rubbing Myla's new chap stick on as fast as they could! It was so funny and I tried really hard not to laugh :)

You can't tell from the picture very good but Myla's has about a half an inch thick of chap stick on her lips!

Ava had already licked and eaten most of hers off before I could grab the camera!

Growing up one of my families favorite family traditions was having my Dad read The Grinch That Stole Christmas on Christmas Eve. This year we decided to take the girls over so my Dad could read it to them. They loved it and actually payed attention the whole time.

Myla had her preschool singing Christmas Party and Santa came to visit at the end. The girls were so excited to see him, but poor Ava preferred to see him from a distance!

Myla was so funny she liked to sing the songs, but she preferred to dance to them. I wish I had video of it so I could tease her when she is older.

Thanksgiving

I hope that I can laugh about this Thanksgiving in a couple of years it was Crazy. I was supposed to have it at my house for all of my side of the family. Things changed Monday morning when we thought Ava had Chicken Pocks. Not all of my Nieces and Nephews have had them before and we didn't want to spread the joy of them around. My awesome Mom said she would have it at her house and we were just going to stay home with our contagious child! The next morning Ava woke up way worse her eye was swollen shut and the little spots were huge now and it definitely was not Chicken Pocks. We took her to the Doctor and he told us it was a severe allergic reaction to something.

The next day Chris found this in the Garage...

A mink he had chewed his way in through the doggy door and had made him self at home eating the dog food. I had no idea how bad mink STINK!!!! Chris caught him with his fishing net and threw him in the dog kennel until the animal control came to pick him up!

We were able to attend Thanksgiving because Ava didn't have Chicken Pocks my Mom was still kind enough to have it at her house.

Chris deep fried a turkey to take this year it was sooo good!

Halloween a Little Late!

I am horrible it is December and I am just barely posting Halloween, at least I did it before Christmas.

Chris had to work this year so we went to see my Mom at the Hutchings Museum were she works. The girls love going there to see Grandma of course, but they love the fish and bugs and rocks and all of the fun little things Grandma shows them.

Chris went down south this weekend to go deer hunting. He called me Sunday night to tell me he got one but he wasn't sure how to tell me how big it was.
One side is a good four point and the other well it has three points but they are tiny! We think it must have broke off when he was young and just kept trying to grow along with the other side. Chris calls it his mutant freak :)
The girls were going to go down and stay with their Grandma Taylor while Chris was hunting, but they both got really sick so they had to stay home with me. Chris's Mom sent home a Halloween package for the girls because she didn't get to see them. It was so cute it had these funny glasses which the girls loved and some little jumping monsters that kept them entertained for hours!

Pumpkin Patch

I love this time of year!!! We were headed up to AF Canyon to see the leaves, but we passed this really cute little pumpkin patch on the side of the road. So we forgot the canyon idea and went with the pumpkin one :)

Myla told us that she wanted a baby pumpkin not a big one. She really got into looking for just the right baby pumpkin.
Ava liked the pumpkins for a few minutes until she found the chickens that were running lose! She kept trying to pet them and I think she could have grabbed them a couple of times if I hadn't stopped her.

After the girls had enough of chasing the poor chickens we went to JCW's for dinner where Ava was flirting with every little guy her age and drank about two gallons of fry sauce. Myla kept pretending that she had to go potty so she could go and play with their soap dispenser in the bathroom. After dinner we headed up to Cabella's to see the animals and fish. The girls love it there. It turned out to be a pretty good night :)

Growing Up

I have been horrible at blogging this summer! I have so many pictures that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed to try to catch up. I had to blog about this though Miss Myla went to her first day of Preschool last week!
She was so excited! The night before when I was putting her to bed I told her when she woke up in the morning she could go to school. Big mistake, she came out of her bedroom about 15 times saying, "Mom, I am AWAKE!" She finally fell asleep around 11:30 and woke up the next morning just as excited!

I wondered how Ava would do without her big sister to play with. Ava looked around for her for awhile and soon found out that she could play with all of Myla's toys with out a fight :) She loved it!Myla loves school and begs me to go every morning. I wonder how long that will last?

Today Myla also had her first day of dance class!

( Don't mind the huge bruise on her nose. The wall and her face had a bit of a disagreement the other day!)

Of course she loved her class! She may have loved it a little bit too much because she could not take her eyes off of herself in the mirrors and pretty much did her own thing. Oh well she looked really cute doing it!

Mayfield Days

We took the girls down to my Grandparents house down in Mayfield to be in their little town 24Th of July parade.

We stuck both of the kids on the buggy to throw candy, so Chris and I got to watch the parade kid free!!! It was great.

We took the girls over to the American Fork Steel Days car cruise the other night. We had one little girl who loved it and the other one hated it!!!!

Ava couldn't get enough of the cars and she would laugh when they revved up their engines and just wave at them as they went by.

Myla had the exact opposite reaction...

As soon as we sat down she started pulling this little face and when the cars revved up their engines she started bawling hysterically!!! We made it for about 15 min before we had to leave because she was crying so hard that she was shaking.

It is so funny how different my girls little personalities are!!! The older they get the more different they become. You never know which one will have fun and which one will end up bawling their little eyes out :)

Chris's little brother Patrick is getting married next month and they asked me to take their engagement pictures. I warned them that I had never taken pictures of adults before and that they might not turn out. They still wanted me to take them and it turned out to be way easier than I thought. Our Internet has been down for about a month so I haven't blogged forever!!!!! We are now back up and running and this is what we have been up to....

That's the short version of our summer so far. I hate trying to catch up my blog so sorry if it isn't very interesting. We also went to Bryce Canyon, but I will blog about that later.

Meet Sally

She is Chris's early Father's Day present. She's a six week old Beagle and the newest member of our family.

Here is a list of all of Sally's favorite things to do:

I now know why God made puppies so cute, you would give them away after the first night if they didn't have those big puppy eyes!

The plan was to make her an inside/outside dog, but that changed when I woke up with swollen shut eyes. She will become an outside dog as soon as Chris can put up her fence.
I have to admit even after all of these horrible things she has won us over and I think we will keep her!

This past weekend we went down to Cedar City for Gary's (Chris's brother) sons baby blessing. Sorry I didn't get any pictures we barely made it on time!!! Since we were in Cedar we had to stop and play at Jamie's house and visit her new puppy Dually!

I stole this picture off her blog. He is so flipping cute!!!! My girls had so much fun playing with him and her two other dogs Sage and 'D'.

Ava loved the dogs, but she got knocked down so we put here in her highchair so she would be safe. She decided to feed them her vanilla wafers. Which they loved!

Chris loved Dually too, he kept trying to steal him and throw him in the car! After seeing how good my girls were with the dogs and how much Chris loved that puppy we might be needing one of our own!

Thanks for the yummy food and and fun time Levi and Jamie! Can't wait to see you next month.

So every morning Ava and Myla have a race to the back door to see if Pollywog the cat is back there yet for her food. Myla slept in this morning so Ava got to look first. It was so cute she squealed when she saw her and grabbed a book and started reading it to the cat while she ate her food.

She is just too cute!

Bubbles & Rocks

Myla has been obsessed with bubbles lately! She is not the best bubble blower around though, she gets more in her mouth then she gets into actual bubbles. So of course she makes me blow them! Blowing bubbles is not as easy as it looks. Sure it is fine for the first few blows then you start to get dizzy and faint and get a really bad headache. I don't know maybe I am just a bubble blowing pansy. Myla got some birthday money so I let her buy a bubble machine! I love this thing it keeps them busy for a while and it saves me from the headaches.

No way could I ever blow this many bubbles with out passing out!

Myla likes to stick her face right where the bubbles come out so they will pop on her. (It also covers her face and hair in soap not fun.)

When Ava decided that she was done with bubbles she started stuffing rocks in her mouth!
Ava is so funny she knows that she is not supposed to eat rocks so she will stuff as many as she can in her mouth and take off running and giggling! She gets so mad when you take them away from her. I don't get it, they can't taste good! I think it must be that she knows that she isn't supposed to have them that makes them so much fun. She's crazy but I love her!

My sister Wendy let me borrow her two adorable little boys Bear (Klayton) and Kolby Tre to practice taking pictures on. It was definitely an interesting photo shoot!!! My sister liked the pictures that I took of my little girls in this field so we headed back up there. As soon as we stepped out of the car her son Bear started having horrible allergies (he also has asthma) !!!! We decided to hurry and try to get some good pictures before he got too bad. The poor little guy was sneezing, itching, or rubbing his eyes in almost every picture. I felt so bad for him so we left after about 20 min. because he was so miserable! I did get some decent pictures in between sneezes though. These are a few of the best ones

I had to put this picture in here to show you how bad Bear was. He got hives all over his body, his eyes swelled up huge. He had to have a breathing treatment and a lot of Benedryl to get him back to his happy little self!

Bear I am so sorry!!! Thanks for being such a good sport for me! I am glad you are OK. We love ya :)

For Myla's Birthday she got a Tinkerbell dress. She instantly fell in love with it and insisted that she put it on immediately. After she got it on she did this little twirl thing and looked down at her self and said, "WOW, I LOOK AMAZING." She now has to wear it all day long and we have to beg her to take it off before bed.
The other day we were in my Mom's backyard and got some pretty cute pictures of her in it.

How to climb big rocks!

On our trip to Capitol Reef Chris wanted to climb on top of Hickman's Bridge. It was really easy until we got to these huge rocks, of course I wanted to turn around, but Chris said no he would show me how to climb them!

I copied his every move and made it up successfully!!!! Chris didn't have any good moves for coming down. He made it down just fine, but I fell in this bush!!!!
Ouch, oh well it was worth the pretty view from the top! :)

Memorial Day Weekend

This year we decided to go down South to Wayne County to visit Chris's family. We left Sunday morning and stayed till Tuesday afternoon we were going to leave on Monday but we were having so much fun that we stayed an extra day!
The girls had so much fun playing with their Grandpa and Grandma and their favorite Uncle Kyle! The girls spent most of their time running as soon as we would open the car or house door they would take off running and sometimes they were hard to catch!
Monday morning we went down to the Fremont cemetery and visited Chris's Grandpa and Grandma Taylor's graves.

Daddy Birdy

My girls have been waking up between 6:00 and 6:30am recently. So I have been turning on cartoons for them and trying to sleep on the couch. This morning when we went down stairs and we found this little bird in the window well. It made the girls whole entire day!!!! Myla kept calling it the daddy birdy and Ava kept saying 'whasat' (what's that) and waving at it.

I think a cat hurt it because it kept trying to fly and it couldn't get off the ground. Luckily it got out somehow around ten o'clock so Chris didn't have to fish it out when he got home.

(Sorry the window is so dirty I don't think I have ever washed them, but it is now on my to do list!)

Little Drive

This past Monday Chris had some time before he had to go to work so we decided to go on a little drive up the hills. We found this beautiful green field with a view across the lake. The girls had tons of fun running through the grass and falling down.

This is Ava's attempt to put her hands up like Myla in the above picture. It was so cute!

When it was time to leave of course Myla through a huge fit and cried all the way home she kept yelling 'go play go play.' We are already planning another trip up there because the girls had so much fun!

Guess Who's Three....

Myla turned three last week. It is so weird to watch her grow up so fast! She used to be such a little chunk and now she has grown so tall and thin she doesn't even look like the same little girl at all!

Chris had to work on her birthday so we let her open her presents before he left. We gave her a doll house and as soon as she opened up the little dolls for it she didn't want to open the other presents. She would have been content to play with just them all day long. Good thing she has a little sister who loves to open presents Ava made short work of them for her.

Myla lives for birthday's it doesn't matter if it is her own or not. She sings the happy birthday song all year round. I can't light smelly candles in my house anymore because if Myla finds them she will start singing and always blow them out!
She was in heaven with everyone singing to her and blowing out her candles :)

I didn't get very many pictures of her birthday because it was kind of a rough day. It started out with the neighbors dog chomping one of our kittens the poor thing can't put weight on it's back foot :( Then we went to pick out Myla's balloons and she fell out of the shopping cart on her head!!! This picture kind of shows the lump and bruise but it doesn't do it justice at all.

What an awful thing to happen especially on her birthday. She was pretty upset the rest of the day so I didn't want to make her pose for pictures to much.

Myla we love you and hope that you had a good birthday and next year we will stay away from shopping carts!!!!!!!

Myla's Photo Shoot

I have been taking a photography class for a few weeks now. Last Saturday we had our first photo shoot. I only took Myla because it is just too hard being the Mommy and the Photographer. It was also freezing so please ignore Myla's ugly jacket she really had on a cute outfit under it. Also this is only my first try so don't judge me to hard. Here are a few of my favorites:

When ever Myla sees a camera she screams runs in circles and starts to cry so I am pretty lucky to have got any shots of her not screaming. I can't wait to go out again with both of my girls this time (I think I will bring Chris and he can be the Daddy while I take the pictures).My teacher is going to be giving more classes. Recipe

Here is the recipe for you Ashley:
Strawberry Syrup

1 lb. Strawberries

1 tbsp. Orange Juice

1 cup Sugar

Blend everything together in a blender or food processor.

Then simmer for 15-18 min. (stir it a lot or it will burn)

I usually a least double the recipe because trust me you will want extra. It can also be used as jam it is so yummy!

We started the potty training thing again I mark this as attempt #3. I think she is really ready this time. She comes and tells me when she needs to go but then she just sits there holding it. Sometimes she holds it so bad that she shakes and cries. I think she is scared to let it go. I don't know I could be doing this completely wrong and permanently damaging the child or maybe this is normal. She has made it to the potty on time but mostly it has been almost on time! :/

I came down stairs to check on her and this is how I found her. Wearing her high heals and talking on the phone. (I don't know where she learned that I never talk on the phone when I pee!)

She is so funny she not only has to have her princess potty but she also has to have her Lightening McQueen potty on top. I guess it is just to hard to pick just one.

I guess I will just keep trying with her. I am really getting tired of cleaning up messes so if you have any amazing secrets please tell me!!!!!

Our 'Egg'stravaganza

On Friday night we colored eggs. I didn't know if Myla would like it or not but she loved it!
Then on Saturday we went over to Katie's house for a little egg hunt.

Thanks Aunt Katie we had a lot of fun!

All of last week Ava had been sick. She got SIX new teeth four of them were molars. Then on top of that she got the flu. Saturday she was finally acting like she felt better just in time for Easter !

I think that our family did something to piss off the Easter Bunny. I know that we ran over a jack rabbit not to long ago and Chris likes to go rabbit hunting. I didn't know that the Easter Bunny kept a naughty and a nice list! I think we made it on the naughty list this year because he brought Myla the flu and Ava a strange rash!!!!!

This is what my girls were supposed to wake up to. Instead Myla was puking and Ava had red blotches all over. (You can't see them very well in the pictures) All Myla wanted to do was lay down she didn't even look at the new wagon. The poor little thing!

Later that day the girls were acting like they felt a little better so we took them outside to take pictures and a quick wagon ride.

As soon as we got back Myla got even more sick and puked all over her Easter dress or her Princess dress is what she calls it. She was so upset that she couldn't wear her dress the rest of the day. She looked so sad so we let her hold the kittens and that cheered her up a little.

Hopefully next year will go better and maybe I won't let Chris go bunny hunting anymore so we can get on the 'good list'.

FREE KITTIES

We have free kittens if any one is interested. I have 3 boys and 2 girls. They are all so adorable!!! There are two white, one black and white, one orange, and one calico (brown, grey, and white). A few of them are already taken so if you want one hurry and let me know to claim it. They were born on March 19th so they aren't ready to leave yet. They should be ready some time around the first part of May.

I found the Black Hole!!!!!!!!

So, I have often thought that there must be a black hole somewhere were all of your kids binkies disappear into, because I can never find any of them :/ One minute they will be in Ava's mouth and the next minute they are gone no where to be found!

Well, yesterday I noticed Ava playing over by one of our speakers so I walked over to see what she was doing and she hurried and pulled her chubby little hand out of the speaker hole. I looked down in the hole and could tell there was something in there. I had to be creative and use salad tongs since my hand could no way fit down that hole. It took about a half an hour to get everything out and this is what I found...

Apparently I had found Ava's stash it consisted of:
3 binkies
2 blocks
a Zoe doll
a little car
a phone rattle
teething tablets
a dinosaur
and finger nail clippers (This makes a lot of sense that she hid them because she hates getting her nails clipped!)

Ava's stash must be pretty special to her because as I was trying to take them out of the speaker she was desperately trying to put them back in :) I love that funny little girl!!!!

Myla's first flower from a BOY!!!!

The other night I had just put the girls to bed and I heard frantic knocking at the door. When I opened it there was Ty are next door neighbors little boy. He was holding a beat up little daffodil and keep saying, "for Myla, for Myla!" Since Myla was already in bed she didn't get to see her little flower till the morning.

As soon as I showed it to her and told her it was from Ty she loved it and wanted to hold it all morning! So Cute:)
Myla and Tyler were actually born on the same day, it is so fun to watch them grow up together. I can't believe that they are almost three years old!

They both got bikes for their second birthdays and wanted to ride each others more than their own.
The other day Tyler's big sister turned on some music for them and they just started dancing together. I was so happy Cherish Ty's Mom had her camera.

Givin' it the ol' one, two

Myla had a fun time at the RAGE gym the other day with her cousin Kolby Tre. First she warmed up on the punching bags. It was so funny the gloves were bigger than her head.
The bag even hit her in the head a few times, but she didn't seem to mind. She thought it was funny that the bag could hit her back and she couldn't stop laughing.

After she got warmed up her and Kolby went in the ring. She kept looking at me like Mom what am I supposed to do?
Myla was playing by a whole different set of rules than Kolby. I think she thought it was a race and she kept running circles around him. Poor Kolby who thought it was going to be a fight looked very confused :)
No, she didn't get knocked out she was just really dizzy and tired from all the circles. Myla can't wait til we go back! Maybe next time we will have her hit the weights:)

Miss Ava Jean's First Birthday!!!

My little Ava turned one on the fifteenth. I can't believe the year flew by so fast it feels like yesterday that we brought her home and now she is growing up so fast. It is fun to watch her grow and show her little personality. Here are a few things that we love about you Ava of course there are to many to list them all:

Your big wet slobbery kisses.

Your huge hugs and the way you love to snuggle.

The way that you want to do everything Myla does. It is fun to watch you two together.

I love your little laugh it is so funny and contagious.

I love how you get so excited when Daddy comes home from work. All you want is for him to hold you and tickle you.

and last but not least we love having you in our family you brighten our life's. We Love You !!!

We let her start the day off early and had her open her presents as soon as she woke up.

She got this fun little horse that sings and she was so excited to get on it that she couldn't even wait for Daddy to finish putting it together!

So of course Myla was jealous of the horse and this is how I found them watching TV later that morning :)

I am so happy that I got this picture. When Ava gets really excited she tenses up her hole body and shakes. It is so funny to watch. This time she just happened to be on Chris's shoulders. He said that she was squeezing her legs so tight around his head you can kind of see it in the picture:)

So, it is our family tradition to give the birthday girl a party cake of their own that they get to eat. I had a lot of fun making it and Ava had a lot of fun demolishing it!!!!!

Shooting in the West Desert

Our family loves to go up the hills on the west side of Utah lake and go shooting. The girls think it's so fun to drive on the bumpy dirt roads. Every time we hit a bump it didn't matter if it was big or small Myla would say "Wow, that was a big one."
Myla Especially loved jumping around in the bed of Dad's truck.
Ava really liked finding all of the rocks, sticks and dirt in the back of Daddy's truck to eat. I don't know why, but both of my kids have loved to eat dirt and rocks. Myla once took a handful of dirt out of a potted plant and just ate it. At first I thought well maybe she doesn't know that it's gross, but no she liked it and kept trying to get more. I don't know maybe they need more vitamins and minerals:)
It was really windy when we got there, but the girls didn't seem to mind too much. Ava just kept making her funny scrunch up her nose face every time the wind hit her.

Chris talked me into shooting his 30-30 for the first time. He kept calling me a pansy so I just decided to do it. I love to shoot the 22 because it doesn't kick at all, but the 30-30 was a whole other story. I think that was my first and last shot using the 30-30. At least Chris can't say that I didn't try it once:)

When it got too windy to shoot anymore we decided to go farther up the hill on a little drive. It was a really pretty view of the lake and all of Utah County.
It was a really steep drive. This is the view looking straight down out of the truck.

We found this really neat little arch. It was about six feet high by about six to eight feet wide. You never know what you will find out in the west desert.

So I finally got around to finishing painting my living room. I have been avoiding it because I am very afraid of heights and in order to finish it I had to crawl up on our half wall and dangle over the top of our stairs. It was terrifying, you can tell by the look on my face! So, while I am dangling and trying not to look down Myla starts yelling at me "Mommy! What are you doing? Get Down!" Myla definitely enjoyed being the boss and yelling out the instructions.

She now thinks it is funny to come around the corner when I'm not looking and yell "Mommy, what are you going!" She is such a funny little thing.

Myla's Zoo

It was cold outside today and Myla said she wanted to go see her animals. So we went to the alternative zoo Cabela's!!! Myla knows that Daddy will never turn down a trip to Cabela's.

The girls favorite thing to see is the fish!

We found this fishing pole for Myla. For those of you who don't know Myla has a huge crush on Lightening McQueen and she will blush every time you say his name.

I was so surprised when my baby girl came out with curly hair. Amazingly two and a half years later it still has a little curl in it. This is definitely a blessing because my hair is stick straight. So whenever it is time for a haircut I get nervous that I will cut the curl off and it won't come back.
